Senior Construction Administrator - Healthcare

Location: Dallas, TX

HIRING A SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR - HEALTHCARE IN DALLAS

DBR is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Administrator with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for healthcare projects. This role focuses on the construction administration phase (post-design), ensuring all project aspects are effectively managed. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of construction administration experience in healthcare projects and demonstrate excellent communication skills with architects, owners, and contractors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform site reviews & observation efforts on complex and/or diverse projects.
  • Construction administrative duties on projects include but are not limited to aspects of shop drawings, site visits, and submittals.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills by developing strategies to address challenges during the construction administration phase.
  • Facilitate and attend meetings with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure alignment and effective problem resolution.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of MEP system design, including applicable design codes and standards, during the construction phase.
  • Review and analyze construction drawings, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Ability to address RFIs by conducting independent research and preparing them for the Engineer of Record's final review before issuance.
  • Capture and document change orders during reviews, conversations, RFIs, and meetings, ensuring accurate tracking and communication of project modifications.
  • Make informed decisions regarding project direction and problem-solving, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and life safety codes relevant to healthcare facilities, maintaining high standards for safety and regulatory adherence.
  • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other cloud platforms as project requires for documentation and communication.
  • Conduct thorough research to support project needs and maintain organized documentation.
  • Ensure all project documentation is up to date and accessible.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, supporting team efforts and project goals.
  • Adapt to changing project schedules and workloads while effectively meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrate dependability and punctuality in all aspects of work.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Engage in continuous improvement practices to enhance project outcomes.
  • This position may require some travel
  • Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with architects, owners, contractors, and team members.
  • Experience in reviewing construction drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
  • Management level knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam platforms.
